Dr. Jonathan Havener D.D.S., M.S. and his wife, Elizabeth, are natives of the Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Havener grew up in Mission and attended Sharyland High School where he was involved in varsity swimming, basketball, and FFA & 4-H. He graduated Valedictorian of his high school class in 2008 and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in business from Texas A&M University in 2012. After college, Dr. Havener spent 4 years in Dallas to complete his training for dentistry. He received his doctorate in dental surgery (DDS) from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in 2016 where he again graduated as Valedictorian. He then spent the next three years at the same institution focusing his training solely on orthodontics. In May of 2019, he graduated with a master’s in oral biology and a certificate in orthodontics. Following graduation in 2019, he moved back home to the Rio Grande Valley to begin practicing orthodontics full time.
Dr. Havener is a board certified orthodontist. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, the Texas Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and twin girls, their dog Fitch, going salt and freshwater fishing, golfing, and exploring the great outdoors.
